Group of people lying on a dark wooden floor, with some making hand gestures and looking at the camera, in a casual or relaxed setting.
Three dancers performing on an outdoor stage at night, illuminated by stage lights. They are mid-movement, holding hands, in front of a white brick wall with a wooden door opening. There are trees and structures in the background.

A Solas is a contemporary dance piece that delves into the intricate and universal experience of solitude through the use of instant composition. By recreating and honoring those quiet, introspective moments we all encounter, the piece invites audiences to reflect on the transformative power of being alone. It raises profound questions: Who are we in solitude? How do we inhabit those spaces of silence, stillness, or even discomfort? Through the fluid interplay of movement and improvisation, the three interpreters seek to uncover the layers of identity, vulnerability, and strength that emerge when we are left alone with ourselves, celebrating solitude as a vital part of the human experience.
